This issue we are heavy on stories, tales of twisted romance, heroes and magical journeys…and we are introducing a new column:  The Soapbox!

The Soapbox is a place for opinions, observations, and even the occasional rant, delivered in words, images and/or graphics.  In this first issue, we feature “True Stories with Bovi, Special Guests,” a short film with an unusual and creative way of presenting the story.

If you are interesting in pitching a story for the Soapbox, leave a comment at the bottom of the page or send us an email at baselinewriters@gmail.com.  (Pitching means you tell us what you want to write about and why you think it is a story worth telling.)

If we like your idea, we will ask to see the story or video, if they are completed, or talk with you about the project.

When you submit your story,  you must include your name, your student number and an email address, so we can get in touch with you. (Your student number and email will remain confidential.)

For new readers, we say welcome to the Chaffey community.  We’re repeating Isaiah Wilson’s story, “The Fluid Student,” and just for fun, Hanajun’s review of Monsters University.

Speaking of Hanajun’s reviews, we will be posting all of his movie reviews that we can get our hands on.  Watch for  updates on the occasional Thursday.

Well that’s it for now.  Don’t forget to check our category and archive pages, (on the menu at the top  right of this page) for past stories…old stories never die, they just get sent to archives!
